The Whitefish Chain is the Crow Wing County tangle around Cross Lake — Whitefish, Rush, Big Trout, and a pile of connecting rooms that share a lock, a dam, and a lot of weekend traffic. People say “the chain” the way they say “up north,” and then they still have to pick a landing.
