Cross Lake
The front porch of the Whitefish Chain. A town named after the water, and fourteen connected excuses to be late.
Usual suspects: Walleye, Northern pike, Bass, Crappie, Panfish
Cross Lake is a lake and a town, which is very Minnesota of it. It sits on the Whitefish Chain in Crow Wing County — a string of connected waters that includes Whitefish, Rush, Big Trout, and enough shoreline to lose an afternoon on purpose.
Walleye, pike, bass, crappie, panfish. Shallow weedy rooms and deeper basins, depending on which door you opened. This is a short lake page, not a chain encyclopedia and not an invented bite. When somebody sends a real note, it goes in Reports.
What’s happening
We are watching the calendar. Nothing on the books for this water that we can stand behind. When a real lake day shows up, it will land here — not a daydream with a date slapped on it. See all of Events.
